Bidgood Consultancy Ltd was launched in January 2026 by Tessa Shelley, as founder, director and owner, based on a deep-rooted desire to support organisations of all sizes to develop their work-winning, management systems and sustainability / social impact skills across a wide range of public and private sectors.
Our method for achieving this is:

Qualifications include:
IRCA Lead Auditor for ISO9001:2015, Level 3 Domestic Retrofit, and a wide range of industry approved health, safety, equality, diversity and inclusion and sustainability training courses attended.
Tessa’s personal statement:
I bring to the table over 44 years relevant experience, having been an employee in the construction industry for 28 years and previously in the voluntary sector for 9 years. Just in case you are doing the math, yes, I started volunteering part-time in social care from the age of 9, with Barnardo’s children’s charity and have always fulfilled voluntary roles up to the current day, as a Girlguiding leader, provider of sustainability sessions with local schools, and serving as a mentor for T-Level students at the Colchester Institute and through the Women in Social Housing (WISH) network.
Our Experience
A proven track record in the Construction industry
My personal goal is to support the construction industry to remain sustainable, by continuously improving standards and supporting performance stability and growth for your business, and addressing the current and predicted construction sector skills gap.
With extensive experience in roles, including:
- resident liaison, customer service and social value onsite
- project management on award-winning public and private regeneration and refurbishment schemes
- id and work winning roles
- quality management and lead auditing for ISO9001:2015 Quality, as well as numerous other compliance standards, certifications and accreditations
- and currently as a Monitor for the Considerate Constructors Scheme and a trainer for the Warm Homes Scheme in partnership with Essex County Council and the Essex Growth Agency.
I’ve established Bidgood Consultancy Ltd as a family business, by appointing Rachel Shelley as Trainee Bid Writer and Media Associate. Our shared ambition is to support your business or organisation to feel in control of your work-winning strategy, quality management systems of policies and processes, and how you coordinate your social impact and sustainability efforts. 10.5 high grade GCSE’s, BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre 2/1, Level 6 Trinity Diploma in Musical Theatre and DDE teacher training.
Having graduated in the summer of 2026 from the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, Rachel has already undertaken several public facing screen and theatre roles, including a bespoke live and televised performance in Bahrain for the King of Bahrain. She is proficient in contextual writing, business planning, choreography, filming, photography and editing, event organisation, running her own classes and developing a strong social media presence.
With an excellent understanding of processes, how to present your business in a variety of forums, client expectations and appealing to a wide range of people, Rachel brings excellent people and academic skills that lend themselves to enhancing your presentation and content of bids, as well as enhancing your business’ visible presence within a busy marketplace.
